The 2018 Camp Fire has woven our fates together, inevitably. Not only with
our neighbors but with
the planet itself.
This group is committed
to nourishing our interconnections; to keeping vibrant the spirit of resilience and camaraderie.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
WHAT WE DO
There are many loosely connected and somewhat isolated rebuilding efforts occurring in Paradise.
The aim of Regenerating Paradise is to:
Support these projects with knowledge, ideas, and shared resources.
Nourish collaboration among actors
Highlight rebuilding efforts to draw in participation and resources
Our core group is comprised of Paradise locals who are impassioned to listen to and work for our community.
Our talents and interests are diverse, but we hold core values of hope,
stewardship and resilience.
We are supported by a ring of collaborators who share their experience in post-disaster environments, community organizing, and regenerative systems. Our group welcomes new collaborators and participants.

We’ve already started the work of regenerating Paradise. It began while the fires still burned. We reached out to each other. We grieved our losses. We looked for places to begin.
Loss, grief, beginning — those will be central to our story for months and years. We will do this together. We will rebuild Paradise.
Many have stepped up with ideas for what might be. UDA helped us be clear about our fundamental values and why it is we choose to call Paradise and the Ridge and this place of beauty in Northern California home.
